Care instructions

All of our fine pieces are made of 925 sterling silver and either rhodium or gold plated, are all nickel-free and hypoallergenic.

Sterling silver is a valuable metal that will fog up over time. It could be that the metal may turn dark over time, especially the silver jewelry that is not rhodium plated, but it is in no way related to quality. The discoloration is a natural reaction of the metal to the oxygen in the air and can be purified. We therefore recommend that you regularly clean your jewelry with a polishing cloth to remove the discoloration.

We recommend that you store your fine items in their original packaging, box or satin pouch, and in a dry place away from direct sunlight. Please do not leave your jewelry in the bathroom as moisture could damage your jewelry. Polish your jewelry with a soft cloth more often to regain its shine.

Rhodium-plated silver

Rhodium plating is often used for silver as well as white gold jewelry. Rhodium-plated means that your fine piece is coated with a thin layer of rhodium, which offers a beautiful shine and also increased protection against abrasion. Our rhodium-plated jewelry is water-resistant and shouldn't tarnish over time. However, if you want your fine piece to shine nicely for longer, you should store it correctly (see above) to slow down the discoloration process.

Gold-plated silver

Our gold-plated fine piece is also made of 925 sterling silver and mostly gold-plated with 18k gold.

It could be that your gold-plated gems may fog up over time, but it is in no way related to quality as the discoloration is a natural reaction of the silver to the oxygen in the air. However, you can extend the usefulness of the jewelry with proper care and storage.

We therefore recommend that you take off your jewelry when doing household chores and swimming and put it in a box or satin bag. Heat and chemicals such as hairsprays, perfumes and solvents can damage your jewelry. It is recommended to apply hairspray, perfume, etc. before putting on jewelry. If the jewelry is exposed to any of the above, the gold plating will tarnish over time and the color will turn silver. You can carefully clean the gold-plated silver jewelry with lukewarm soapy water, dry it and polish it with the soft polishing cloth.
